The aim of this programme is to assist learners to make informed choices about their work life and their future by providing career
related information. Information is provided to learners as early as grade 7, covering the following:
Options available for education and training after school
Career pathways available to choose from
Financial assistance available for further education
In addition, various competitions are run annually that aims at assisting the learners to know their interest and capabilities
(Know Yourself), which is critical for deciding on a career pathway that best suit them. These competitions are aimed at assessing the
learners' interest in the following fields:
Science
Commerce
Languages
A mobile resource centre (career exhibitions) is brought to the learners on a yearly basis where application forms for admission for further
studies, bursary application forms and employment application forms are made available to the youth and learners.
The mentorship programme ensures that all Learners enrolled at various tertiary institutions are supported. Each Learner gets allocated a
mentor who supports them through their years at a tertiary institution.
Members are encouraged to make monthly donations to the Club and funds raised in this regard are made available for assistance of
financially disadvantaged learners who performed well in grade 12 each year. The type of financial assistance ranges from payment of
registration fees, transportation and books. The aim of this programme is to ensure that financial constraints does not rob a learner of a
bright future.
The aim of this programme is to:
Support the unemployed youth to find employment by providing job opportunities information
Support financially disadvantaged students find best financial assistance e.g. bursaries
Develop students so that they are better prepared for the job market, through training them on general market competencies e.g.
communication, presentation, team work and conflict management
